RVC in the community

The °®ÎÛ´«Ã½ (RVC) is committed to maintaining good relations with neighbouring communities and to make a meaningful economic, cultural and social contribution to the regions in which our two campuses are based within Hertfordshire and Central London.  

The RVC is one of the largest employers in the local area, employing over 1000 permanent staff across its two campuses with the majority employed at our Hertfordshire campus in North Mymms.  We train over 2600 students and researchers - the people that every community relies on for veterinary care, disease control, animal welfare and one health.

Engagement within our local communities continues to be a priority for the RVC and we are committed to building active engagement with these communities, with local schools and colleges and the public in general.    Our staff and students are actively involved in many local initiatives and community organisations as well as being residents in the local area.

Our Community Relations and Widening Participation and Outreach teams offer and participate in a wide range of activities and events that are open to all.
